Training Series 2010
Project LINK is pleased to announce its Spring training for parents and educators of the Greater
Capital Region.
Our
Presenter:
Dr. James Partington, BCBA-D is a
licensed psychologist and Owner/Director of Behavior Analysts Inc. and
STARS Clinic in Walnut Creek, CA. He and his company have more than 30
years of experience in the field of teaching children with disabilities.
Dr. Partington is the co-author of Teaching Language to Children with
Autism Other Developmental Disabilities and author of The Assessment
of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLSŪ-R) and WebABLLSŪ,
He is published in a variety of journals for his research. Dr. Partington
and Behavior Analysts Inc. provide extensive training opportunities, consultation
services, workshops, STARS model classrooms and clinical services for
children and families. The workshops he presents are based on his research
and findings, within the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis, utilizing
the conceptual framework of verbal behavior as developed by B.F. Skinner
in 1957. Parents, families, early intervention programs, preschool programs
and school districts benefit from his trainings across the country and
abroad.

Parents/Professional Questions and Answers- Project LINK's exclusive series
is back. Please bring or send in your questions on the registration form
and they will be addressed.
11 a.m.-2 p.m. The research is in! For the first time Dr. Partington
will be presenting his research on typically developing children tracked
by the ABLLS®-R. Age ranges, norms, averages and means for every skill
area have been calculated and will be released in journals soon. Be the
first to see how your child compares!
2 p.m. -4 p.m. The imitative repertoire, the research, the needs
and importance of developing this critical area for a child's success.
Practical strategies will be explored to ensure participants have the
tools to enhance their child's learning.

Programming and Teaching in the Natural Environment
Parents, educators and providers often have difficulty determining how
to transfer skills into everyday settings. This workshop has been redesigned
with new video, enhanced strategies for teaching with critical programming
elements that will provide the participants with solid teaching practice
in everyday settings. Participants will view, analyze and learn from various
school, home and community settings.
